These magnificent remains are located in the northern part of the Gawler Ranges, in a remote area not far from the Lake Gairdner.

According to a small information board installed there, some time in 1880s there were quarters, cooking house and shearing shed.

Topographic maps mark these remains next to the “Pondana Dam”, on the intersection of roads to Moonaree (North), Yardea (West) and Mount Ive (South East).
