If not, then you are like me and probably didn&#8217;t know that &#8220;Tse\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 bighanilini&#8221; means \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the place where the water runs through the rock\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and is\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0name of one of the most amazing places in the world. Unlike many others, it is a simple and meaningful name, however, it doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t explain why this canyon is so popular and attracts hundreds of tourists each day.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/699\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/places\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/MG_9940.jpg\" alt=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s put it straight &#8211; Canyon is well-known for its light shafts, which usually happen on a clear sunny day between 11am and 1pm\u00c2\u00a0when the sun is directly overhead, mostly in summer.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Antelope Canyon is one of the two main sections of the Antelope Canyon near Page, a small town near Utah-Arizona border. Canyon entrance is accessible by 3 mile 4WD sandy road, but you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need to worry about it as every tour to the canyon includes transfer from Page to the entrance and back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/696\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/places\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/MG_9897.jpg\" alt=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To visit this true wonder of the nature, you have to be a part of the group and accompanied by an authorised guide. Regular tours are 1.5 hours long, but if you need more time, you can get one of the photographer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tours which lasts twice as long. Tours are not cheap, but believe me \u00e2\u20ac\u201c it worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Many places inside the canyon have their own names like &#8220;The Heart of the Canyon&#8221; below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/700\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1611\" title=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/places\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/MG_9952.jpg\" alt=\"Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Canyon is carved in Navajo sandstone by wind and regular flash floods which occur even in our days.
