{"id":20,"date":"2007-06-17T15:58:10","date_gmt":"2007-06-17T05:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yk.mynetscene.com\/blog\/?p=20&amp;language=ru"},"modified":"2008-10-09T18:44:20","modified_gmt":"2008-10-09T08:44:20","slug":"new-england-standing-stones-waterfalls-way-gostwyck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/new-england-standing-stones-waterfalls-way-gostwyck\/20","title":{"rendered":"New England: Standing Stones &#8211; Waterfalls Way- Gostwyck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were lucky to get a long weekend recently and, despite stormy weather\u00c2\u00a0and floods, decided to visit New England region (550 km to the North\u00c2\u00a0from Sydney).<\/p>\n<p>First stop was in Glenn Innes, Standing Stones:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/144\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 224px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/19\/gi01.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beautiful Celtic place made by residents of Glenn Innes (official information is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.australianstandingstones.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, and more photos are\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ekorzh.fotki.com\/2007\/australia\/nsw\/standing-stones--gl\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>), every stone symbolizes something &#8211; can be place, history or astronomical event.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Driving along the New England Highway we couldn&#8217;t miss the Balancing Rock,\u00c2\u00a0located on someones private farm land.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/143\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 237px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/18\/br03.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As it is behind the fence &#8211; we could check why it is not falling, but <a href=\"http:\/\/libapp.sl.nsw.gov.au\/cgi-bin\/spydus\/ENQ\/PM\/FULL1?199564,I\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0is an ancient\u00c2\u00a0photo (1939)\u00c2\u00a0 which can give you an idea. Here is an\u00c2\u00a0another closeup\u00c2\u00a0shot:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/ekorzh.fotki.com\/2007\/australia\/nsw\/balancing-rock\/mg1175.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 250px; height: 167px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/18\/br02.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next day, as planned, we went to Waterfalls Way to see Ebor, Dangar and Wolomombi Falls &#8230; there are more of them but we choose these three as more promising.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Ebor Falls:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/pi\/141\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 275px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/17\/falls02.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 225px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/17\/falls03.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lower Ebor Falls:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 179px;\"  itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yktravelphoto.com\/blog\/images\/17\/falls04.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"179\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dangar, Wolomobo falls and some other shots\u00c2\u00a0are <a href=\"http:\/\/ekorzh.fotki.com\/2007\/australia\/nsw\/waterfall-way-armid\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fog and\u00c2\u00a0late autumn gave us a good chance to experience real autumn weather (which we haven&#8217;t seen for more than a 3 years) on the way back.
