The Lost City is another magnificent place in the Blue Mountains region that worth a visit.

These beautiful rock formations are located approximately 15 km north of Lithgow. Take a State Mine Gully Road from the north-east of Lithgow, then follow Glow Worm Tunnel road and turn left and immediately left again at the Bungleboori Camp ground. Follow the road and bear left at couple Y-junctions.

Some people say that this road is suitable for 2WD cars, but I’d recommend a 4WD and careful driving.

After approximately 3 kilometres, at the end of the road, park your car, and take 200-300 meter walk to the Lost City, but be careful – these Hawkesbury sandstone rock formations are very brittle.
