This small waterfall is called Upper Gledhill Falls and located in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park in Sydney’s North.
It may not be obvious at first glance, but Blue Mountains is full of waterfalls – I think I will be able to show you at least 40 of them and I’m sure there are more. I always marvel at how creative and arty nature can be while creating tourist attractions for us. Isn’t it amazing how a relatively small amount of rock, placed in the right place, can force a river to make a twist like this?
If you happened to be in Katoomba or Leura region of the Blue Mountains on the wet and rainy day – don’t miss Leura Cascades, if you are lucky, they will be filled with water and present a truly nice view.
What I like about Sydney’s Blue Mountains is that among all famous and heavily promoted tourist places you can always find a quiet and serene spot, where you can enjoy the view without being crowded by hundreds of people. Read more…
Canyons, slots, gorges, mesas, buttes, arches … and other strangly named rock formations created by millions of years of erosion – all of this without any trouble can be found in the Canyonlands National Park, all in one place. Combined together it creates some of the most outstading landscapes I have ever seen.
As I spent there less than a day, I don’t think I can say much about this park, but impressive nature, mountains and waterfalls pushed me to post something about this park in “places” part of the website. Also, this small and inadequate description of this great place is the first “place” outside Australia posted in this blog.
To keep format of the post, here is some formal info: Yosemite National Park famous for its’ waterfalls, deep valleys and steep mountains occupies approximately 1200 square miles in the Eastern California.
